In the fall of 2007 a group of Latino leaders came together to devise a strategy on how they would more
effectively respond to the needs of our growing community.
During its early months, Apoyo Network played a brokering role for community organizations, advocating for increased funding for the Hispanic/ Latino culturally specific programs and services.

Our mission is to empower and promote cultural, social and economic self-sufficiency and the successful integration of the Hispanic/Latino population in the Panhandle by breaking the cultural gap between Spanish and non-Spanish speaking members of our communities .
